Privacy Policy

Effective May 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how ONARQ (“ONARQ,” “we,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Account information you give us. Name, email, password (hashed), and optional phone number when you sign up. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile image from Google.
  • Content you create in the Service. Goals, roadmaps, tasks, notes, documents you upload, chat messages with the AI workspace assistant, task completion blurbs (voice or typed), and demographic/personal context you share during onboarding or coaching calls.
  • Voice and audio. When you take a coaching call, your microphone audio is captured in your browser and streamed to third-party speech-to-text and text-to-speech providers in real time. We store the resulting transcript and call metadata (duration, score, sentiment). Audio itself is not stored long-term by ONARQ.
  • Usage and device data. Pages you visit, features you use, device type, browser, IP address, and analytics events generated by your use of the Service.
  • Payment information. Processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive billing status (active, past due, canceled) but not your full card details.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service, including generating roadmaps, running coaching calls, and storing your work.
  • Communicate with you about your account, billing, and product updates.
  • Improve the Service, including evaluating quality, debugging, and developing new features.
  • Train and improve AI models that power the Service. You can opt out of this in Settings → Data & privacy. See Section 5.
  • Generate aggregate and anonymized analytics and research.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. How AI processes your content

ONARQ uses third-party AI providers to deliver coaching and workspace features. When you use the Service:

  • Your voice is streamed in real time to Deepgram for speech-to-text and to ElevenLabs for text-to-speech.
  • Your text, transcripts, and the context we assemble about you (your goal, plan, recent activity, prior chat summaries) are sent to Anthropic Claude models to generate coaching responses, roadmaps, and workspace chat replies.
  • Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy terms. ONARQ does not authorize them to use your data to train their own foundation models, where their terms permit us to make that election.

AI outputs may be inaccurate. The coach is not a licensed professional. Do not rely on the Service for medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.

4. Third parties we share information with

We share information with the following service providers (“subprocessors”) so that the Service can operate. Each is governed by its own privacy policy.

  • Supabase — database, authentication, file storage.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
  • Deepgram — real-time speech-to-text for voice calls.
  • Anthropic — large language models for coaching and workspace AI.
  • ElevenLabs — real-time text-to-speech for the coach voice.
  • PostHog — product analytics.
  • Sentry — error monitoring.
  • Resend — transactional email.
  • Vercel and Railway — application hosting.
  • Upstash Redis — rate limiting and caching.
  • Google — OAuth sign-in (if you choose Google sign-in).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

We may share information when required by law, to protect against fraud or abuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business.

5. Your choices about AI training

By default, your content may be used to train and improve AI models that power the Service. You can opt out at any time in Settings → Data & privacy. Opting out applies going forward; it does not retroactively remove content from prior training runs (if any have occurred).

6. Your rights

You can review, update, or correct your account information at any time in Settings. You can request account deletion in Settings > Security. When you delete your account, your personal information and content are scheduled for permanent deletion within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

To request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete information, or exercise any other rights you may have under applicable law, email us at support@onarq.ai.

7. California residents

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to access and delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. ONARQ does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your rights, email support@onarq.ai.

8. Data retention

We retain account information and content for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, we delete personal information within 30 days, except as needed to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations. Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest in our database, and access controls on our internal systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Service is intended for adults 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, email support@onarq.ai and we will delete it.

11. International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

12. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We use analytics cookies (via PostHog) to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may not work without them.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice inside the Service before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
